# Maker API

> How Node SDK versions track the Maker API, with the endpoint groups the SDK exposes through client.maker and how to reach them

The Maker API is hosted by KaleidoSwap and reached over the network, with no infrastructure of your own to run. It enables market data and quoting, maker-side atomic swap coordination, and LSPS1 channel ordering.

## Compatibility

The SDK tracks the **latest Maker API** release: there is no version pairing to manage on this side. Keep both up to date to stay on supported endpoints and get new features as they ship.

> [!NOTE]
>
> This is the maker API for swaps between RGB Lightning Nodes, served at `https://api.signet.kaleidoswap.com/api/v1` on signet. It is not the `/v2` API in the [API Reference](https://docs.kaleidoswap.com/api-reference/introduction.md), which the [Swap SDK](https://docs.kaleidoswap.com/sdk/introduction.md) uses. The OpenAPI specification the Node SDK generates its types from is published in [kaleidoswap/specs](https://github.com/kaleidoswap/specs).

## Endpoint Groups

The Maker API provides the following endpoint groups:

| Endpoint Group | Base Path | Description |
| - | - | - |
| **Market** | `/api/v1/market/` | Asset listings, trading pairs, quote requests |
| **Swaps (Atomic)** | `/api/v1/swaps/` | HTLC-based atomic swap initialization, execution, and status tracking |
| **LSPS1** | `/api/v1/lsps1/` | Channel ordering, fee estimates, liquidity provisioning, and Lightning channel setup |

> [!NOTE]
>
> The order-based swap endpoints (`/api/v1/swaps/orders/*`) were retired, and the matching SDK methods were removed in **0.1.13**. Use the atomic swap flow instead — see [How to Swap](https://docs.kaleidoswap.com/cli/node-sdk/how-to-swap.md).

Every group is reached through `client.maker`, which needs nothing beyond a `baseUrl` on the client. See [Getting Started](https://docs.kaleidoswap.com/cli/node-sdk/getting-started.md) for the first call, and the [Client Reference](https://docs.kaleidoswap.com/cli/node-sdk/api-reference.md) for every method.
